Hand Feeding Tent     June-Sept. only
Appropriate for all ages.  Community Groups, Libraries, Schools, Conservation Groups, Special Events.
See every stage of the butterfly lifecycle from egg laying, to caterpillar munching, to the chrysalis waiting to eclose as an adult butterfly.  Select and prepare your butterfly food of choice as you enter the feeding tent for upclose and personal time among a space full of monarchs.  Fantastic photo opportunities, Full of interesting, interactive information.  You choose between our 10' x 10' or 10' x 20' screen tents.

10' x 10' tent, lifecycle stages, 40 Monarchs, approx. 5 people in at a time

Presentations       Available Year round
Appropriate for Garden Clubs, Photography Clubs, Community Centers, Libraries.  These 45 minute Power Point presentations, are loaded with photographs and information, followed by a 15 minute Q and A.

Author, Illustrator, Lori Stralow Harris reads her Children's book
"Butterfly Birthday".
The book is full of rich, captivating pastel illustrations.  It spans the butterfly lifecycle (resulting in a butterfly birthday) while encouraging a child's patience, kindness and curiosity.

This art workshop strengthens children's imagination based on the observations.  Children and parents are delighted with the vibrant painting project which is dry in time to take home.

$ 75. flat fee plus $10 materials cost per child.  typically up to 20 children, ages 6 -12.  45 min - 1 hr. program 
Add-ons:  
-butterfly release basket for birthday parties (ie 7 Monarchs for 7 yr.old)
-face painting


CHOICE TWO:   Available June - Sept 15th

Using Lois Ehlert's children's book, "Waiting for Wings" as a departure point, children decorate an eclosing box based on the illustrator style. Each child receives a monarch chrysalis suspended in their box to take home to continue "Waiting for Wings. After the chrysalis becomes a Monarch in approximately 1 week, each butterfly must be released into the wild, a care and instructions sheet will accompany each child home.

$ $75. flat fee plus $20 materials cost per child.  Typically up to 20 children, ages 8- 12.  1 hr. program.
