Salt Creek Butterfly Farm is a privately owned, seasonal butterfly farm that raises native Illinois butterflies for education and enjoyment. We raise and release three generations of Monarchs during the summer months that add to the population of wild Monarchs that our entire community can enjoy. 

More than anything though, we enjoy sharing our love of butterflies with students!  Find out about  Monarch Art Camp - a great mix of ART, NATURE and FRESH AIR.  At the farm we collect tiny monarch eggs from the milkweed garden with our students.  We handraise caterpillars and watch our adult monarchs emerge from chrysalides. These unique hands-on experiences form the basis for some spectacular art projects.  

Salt Creek Butterfly Farm is located on the grounds of Double J Riding Club in Countryside, IL.
